Tragedy in Ogbomoso: 25-Year-Old Dies After Falling Into Abandoned Soakaway

The Oyo State Fire Services Agency recovered a 25-year-old man’s body from a soakaway near Zion Christian Academy in Ogbomoso North on May 22. He reportedly fell into the abandoned pit around 7:41 pm while inspecting the structure. Fire service personnel led by CFS Dairo applied standard rescue procedures and retrieved the lifeless body. The agency’s chairman confirmed the incident and handed the remains over to officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Owode Division, for further action.
