Reality TV Star Chad Ollinger Moves to Dismiss Murder Charge Over Treatment Delay
Chad Ollinger of Discovery Channel’s “Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch” is asking a Nevada court to dismiss a murder charge. He is accused of killing his cellmate in December 2025 while held at Clark County Detention Center. His lawyers argue that state health authorities violated his due process rights. A court declared him incompetent and ordered him to be committed for treatment by January 29, 2026. They say officials then failed to provide a treatment bed within the required week, leaving him without care for over 200 days. Prosecutors oppose the request and describe him as too violent for ordinary restorative treatment. They note allegations that he slammed his cellmate’s head into a metal bed frame and strangled him until he died. A hearing is set for June. The case follows Chad’s earlier arrests and a brief missing-person report in 2025. His family’s Blind Frog Ranch remains the focus of the reality series.
