Jesus Restores Sight to the Man Born Blind (John 9:1–12)
As Jesus walked by, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked whether the man or his parents had sinned to cause his blindness. Jesus explained that neither had sinned but that God’s works might be revealed through him. He made mud with his saliva, applied it to the man’s eyes, and told him to wash in the Pool of Siloam. The man obeyed, washed, and returned home able to see. Neighbors who once knew him as a beggar were astonished and questioned how his sight was restored. He simply testified that Jesus had healed him, though he did not know where Jesus had gone.
