Ogun Police Say Mowe Dredging Site Attack Was Isolated Crime, Not Banditry

The Ogun State Police Command has dismissed claims that bandits were behind the recent assault on a private dredging site at Magbon Etido, Mowe. Spokesperson DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi said initial investigations found no connections to banditry. He confirmed a soldier on duty at the facility was killed and another injured. Police and military teams swiftly deployed to the scene. Coordinated operations are ongoing to track down the suspects. Residents have been assured that security has been reinforced and the situation is under control.
