Tiwa Savage Opens Up on Missing the ‘Mavin Family’ Support
Nigerian star Tiwa Savage says signing with the right label is crucial for an artist’s well-being. She shared on a recent podcast how she used to turn to Don Jazzy and her Mavin colleagues for comfort whenever controversies hit. Tiwa recalls sitting in Don Jazzy’s office to talk through issues and even shed tears with her fellow Mavin acts. She admits that her current foreign label doesn’t offer the same personal support, and she misses that sense of family. The singer joined Mavin in 2012, left in 2019, and is now signed to Universal Music Group.
