When Revelation’s Prophecy Met History: The Ottoman Empire’s Fall
Revelation 9:14–15 speaks of four angels bound at the Euphrates, released to slay a third of mankind. Throughout history, nations have unknowingly fulfilled God’s prophetic timetable. Today, each nation and individual stands before the divine plummet, choosing a destiny that fits into His grand design. In 1840, a preacher named Josiah Litch published an exposition predicting that the Ottoman Empire would collapse in August of that year. Remarkably, at that very time, Turkey placed itself under the protection of the allied European powers, fulfilling the prophecy and igniting renewed interest in the second advent movement. Let us pray: Father in heaven, thank You for revealing future events to strengthen our faith. Bless our finances, our health, and all that concerns us. Hear our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, our coming King. Amen. You’re invited to share testimonies and prayer requests. Our prayer team will lift each petition before the throne of grace.
