Businesswoman Feared Kidnapped After Family Raises N50m Ransom Found in Hotel with Secret Lover
A married mother reported missing and believed kidnapped by her husband in Benin City has been found alive in a Delta State hotel with her alleged lover. Mrs Oluchi went missing on May 27 in Ikpoba-Okha, Edo State. Her family pleaded for a N50 million ransom after receiving a call demanding payment. Public fundraising was led by her daughter abroad and a local ladies’ club. Police traced the ransom call to a hotel in Ubiaroko, Delta State, where officers arrested four suspects, including the man found with Mrs Oluchi. Her husband was notified and the Harmony Ladies Club has since distanced itself from the case. According to police sources, the discovery has left the family shocked and devastated by the revelation of the woman’s relationship with her lover.
