The Calling of Jesus’ First Disciples
As Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw brothers Simon (Peter) and Andrew casting nets. He invited them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of people.” They immediately left their nets to follow him. A little farther on, Jesus spotted James and John preparing their nets with their father, Zebedee. At his call, they too left their boat and father behind to follow the Lord.
