Primate Ayodele Tells Liberian President to Focus on Governance, Predicts Boakai’s Defeat
Primate Ayodele has urged Liberian President Joseph Boakai to focus on his country’s pressing challenges instead of criticising prophetic messages. He also predicted that Boakai will not secure a second term. This response came after reports that Liberia’s government sent a letter to Nigeria complaining about Ayodele’s prophecies. The Liberian side argued the forecasts fuel anti-Nigerian sentiments and interfere in its politics. Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs distanced itself, emphasising freedom of expression and marking the dispute as a private matter. Ayodele defended his record by recalling his accurate prediction of former President George Weah’s defeat. He insisted his prophecies are divine warnings meant to guide leaders. “Don’t worry about a second term,” he said. “You have already lost it.”
