Anambra Police Arraign Father for Incest with 14-Year-Old Daughter; Two Others Charged

The Anambra State Police Command has arraigned Ikenna Mojekwu before the Gender Magistrate Court in Awka on charges of incest for engaging in sexual acts with his 14-year-old daughter in Aguluzigbo, Anaocha LGA. In the same session, Chibuike Ikemelu was charged with having unlawful intercourse that resulted in pregnancy with a 14-year-old girl in Abatete, and 16-year-old Chukwuma Emenike faces defilement allegations involving an eight-year-old in Umuoji. All suspects were remanded pending further hearings. The police emphasise their commitment to protecting vulnerable persons and prosecuting sexual and gender-based violence. They urge the public to report such offences promptly and assure victims of confidentiality and due process.
