Abia APC Demands Dismissal and Prosecution of ICT Staff and Prince Ikonne for Electoral Sabotage
The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has formally petitioned the national leadership to sack and prosecute Mr. Yusuf Muyideen Ahmed, an ICT officer at the party secretariat. He is accused of breaching trust and sabotaging the recent National Assembly primaries in collaboration with Prince Paul Ikonne. According to the petition, both men allegedly diverted and stole sensitive voting materials from the approved chain of custody. Security reports link the scheme to a $250,000 bribery transaction, raising serious concerns about internal election integrity. The Abia State Working Committee is calling for an immediate criminal investigation, referral to the Nigeria Police Force, and a comprehensive security audit of the party’s ICT systems. They warn that without swift and firm action, future primaries could be compromised.
