Mr Macaroni to Take London Stage in Howard Brenton’s “55 Days”
Nigerian comedian and activist Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, will play Lord Fairfax in the historical drama “55 Days” at London’s Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts from 15 to 18 July 2026. The play, written by British dramatist Howard Brenton, explores the 55 days leading up to King Charles I’s execution in 1649. This production marks the flagship show of Mountview’s MA Performance cohort and is directed by James Yeatman. Adedayo, currently enrolled in Mountview’s postgraduate programme, joins his classmates to bring to life one of the period’s most significant military figures. Theatregoers in London this July shouldn’t miss this chance to see him in a dramatic departure from his famous comedy sketches.
