First Lady Harvests Vegetables in Abuja Villa Garden, Urges Home Gardening
Nigeria’s First Lady renewed her push for home gardening after harvesting vegetables from the Presidential Villa garden. She collected spinach, waterleaf and fluted pumpkin from the Villa’s demonstration plot. The harvest is part of her Every Home A Garden initiative. It promotes food security and helps families deal with high food costs. She shared fresh produce with her staff and highlighted the culture of sharing. The Villa garden was launched in July under the Renewed Hope Initiative. It shows that limited space can still yield nutritious crops. The campaign targets women and families across Nigeria.
