Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo met with John Ezeobi, Chairman of Zobis Cable Industries, to review plans for a new multi-sector industrial city. The development will span Okoti, Odekpe and Ogbaru LGAs. It aims to host over 15 industrial and commercial facilities, including cable and PVC factories, copper production plants, a research institute and integrated logistics infrastructure. Covering about 94 hectares with more than 800,000 sqm of built space, the first phase is projected to create over 15,000 direct jobs. Construction is slated from May 2025 to December 2028. The project supports Nigeria’s drive for local production, reduces import dependence and aligns with the state’s economic growth agenda.
