Osun 2026: Timi Frank Seeks Fadahunsi’s Arrest Over Alleged Inciting Remarks

Timi Frank has called for the suspension and arrest of Senator Francis Fadahunsi over remarks allegedly made ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election. A video circulating online reportedly shows Fadahunsi, speaking in Yoruba, accusing Accord Party members of attacking APC supporters and urging people at a gathering to confront Accord supporters in Ilesa. Frank described the alleged remarks as inflammatory and asked security agencies to investigate. He also urged the Senate to act against any member accused of comments capable of provoking electoral violence. Frank called on security agencies to remain neutral and appealed for a free, fair and credible election in Osun State.

Calling immediately for suspension and arrest may be premature if the video and claims have not been properly examined by the relevant authorities.

Authorities should preserve the full video, obtain an accurate translation, hear all sides, and state clearly whether any law was breached.
