Abia State Police Debunk Viral Boko Haram Arrest Video

Abia State Police Debunk Viral Boko Haram Arrest Video

The Abia State Police Command has denied a viral claim that it arrested 488 Boko Haram members in the state. The claim is based on an old video recorded more than 11 years ago. DSP Maureen Chinaka, speaking on behalf of Commissioner Danladi Isa, called the report misleading and warned against spreading such false information. The command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and urged residents to rely only on verified sources. Anyone caught sharing fake news may face charges under the Criminal Code Act and the Cybercrime Act.
