Walking in Victory: Your Authority Over the Devil
Be sober and vigilant. Your adversary the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Only Scripture reveals his true identity, origin, nature and tactics. To deny Satan’s existence is to deny God’s testimony, for the Bible shows him as a fallen angel turned spiritual enemy. Without this knowledge, believers remain in darkness. But the Word gives you discernment, confidence and authority. Jesus promised, “I give you power… over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19). In Christ, you can overcome every scheme of darkness and walk in dominion. Prayer Dear Father, thank you for the light of your Word. Enlighten my mind and grant me wisdom to stand firm. Help me exercise the authority I have in Christ over every work of darkness. Amen. Further study: 1 Peter 5:8; James 4:7; Luke 10:18-19 Bible reading plan: John 20:1-18; 1 Corinthians 15:50-58
