Osun 2026: Adeleke Re-elected as AMBO Loses by 66,252 Votes

Governor Ademola Adeleke has won a second term in Osun State after polling 511,067 votes in the August 15 governorship election. His closest rival, APC candidate Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, received 444,815 votes. The result gives Adeleke a margin of 66,252 votes. He reportedly won 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas, while Oyebamiji won 11. The campaign was marked by intense rallies, disputes over governance and state finances, shifting political alliances, and concerns about misinformation and possible intimidation. Attention now turns to Adeleke’s second-term agenda and the APC’s plans to rebuild its strategy in Osun.
