Peter Okoye’s EFCC Petition Contradicts His Claim of Excluding Twin Paul from $1m Fraud Probe

Peter Okoye’s EFCC Petition Contradicts His Claim of Excluding Twin Paul from $1m Fraud Probe

Fresh documents reveal that Peter Okoye formally invited the EFCC to investigate his twin brother, Paul, in an alleged $1m fraud case alongside their elder brother, Jude Okoye. His petition dated 29 January 2024 asked the commission to probe Paul’s accounts from 2004 to date and even named Jude’s wife, Ifeoma. On 12 August 2024, Peter publicly challenged anyone to produce a petition linking Paul to the case. The EFCC statement copy, however, shows Paul was explicitly named and later detained before being released on bail. These revelations directly contradict Peter’s social media denials that he never involved his twin brother in the ongoing fraud investigation.

Why would Peter Okoye ask EFCC to investigate Paul when he publicly said he excluded him from the $1m probe?

If he'd clearly excluded Paul before, why involve EFCC for him now?

It's odd that fresh documents show he invited EFCC scrutiny despite his earlier claim of keeping Paul out of this fuss.

Honestly, calling for an investigation doesn't necessarily contradict his statement; he might be covering all bases rather than singling out his twin.

If EFCC confirms any discrepancy, sharing clear timelines and account records could help settle this dispute once and for all.
