Opta Supercomputer Predicts Chelsea Will Miss Top Five, Finish Sixth

Opta Supercomputer Predicts Chelsea Will Miss Top Five, Finish Sixth

Opta’s supercomputer model forecasts Chelsea to end the Premier League season in sixth place. After a 3–0 defeat to Everton, the Blues sit one point behind fifth-placed Liverpool and trail Aston Villa and Manchester United by six and seven points. Their final fixtures include home clashes with Manchester City and Manchester United, plus an away trip to Liverpool. A poor run could also put Enzo Fernandez’s future at risk if Champions League qualification is missed.

True, the Opta forecast seems harsh, but Chelsea still has time to prove doubters wrong.

It's notable that Opta's supercomputer still sees Chelsea finishing sixth despite their history of bouncing back after heavy defeats.

I'm not convinced a single defeat at Everton seals Chelsea's fate; they've recovered from worse runs before.

Chelsea should focus on tightening their defence and boosting fitness in training to overturn that sixth-place forecast.
