RCCG Hails God After Schoolchildren and Teachers Abducted in Oyo Are Freed

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has thanked God for the safe release of students and teachers abducted in Oriire LGA, Oyo State. In its statement, the church described their freedom as a fulfilment of divine promise and an answer to prayers. The church also commended Nigeria’s security agencies for securing the captives’ release after weeks in captivity. “Our God answers prayers. Hallelujah!” the statement added. This outcome follows Pastor Adeboye’s earlier declaration that the abducted pupils and teachers would regain their freedom dramatically. Nigerians across the country have celebrated the development, while mourning the teacher who was killed during the ordeal.
