Zamfara Pledges Intensified Fight Against Bandits After Three Officers Killed
The Zamfara government has renewed its commitment to join forces with security agencies after three police officers died on the Anka-Bagega road. They were killed by an explosive device planted by bandits in Anka Local Government Area. At the funeral prayers in Gusau, the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Nakwada, expressed deep regret and said the loss would only strengthen the state’s resolve. “This tragic incident will not make us relent; it only emboldens us. We will intensify our efforts, and victory is assured, In-Sha-Allah,” he declared. The Inspector-General of Police led the Islamic funeral rites at the Police Command Headquarters. The state government conveyed its condolences to the police community and the bereaved families, and reaffirmed its pledge to support the loved ones of the fallen heroes.
