Just 24 hours after FIJ reported her refusal to return a mistakenly sent N100,000, Opeyemi Faridat Awodoyin refunded N54,000 to Ani Gerald Chukwuebuka. The partial refund arrived from her sister following public attention on the story. Chukwuebuka praised FIJ for their swift effort in recovering the funds. He traced the error to a wrong account digit entered by a friend and recounted how Awodoyin initially denied receiving the payment and later blocked his calls. Despite this progress, N46,000 remains unpaid. When contacted, Awodoyin cut off calls and did not respond to messages. I admire her effort in resolving this situation.
