ANSFA Chairman Unveils Football Revival Plan to Deputy Governor
In a strategic meeting at Awka’s Light House on April 13, ANSFA Chairman Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi and Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim discussed plans to develop football in Anambra State. Iloenyosi outlined key initiatives for the year, including the Chairman’s Cup, the revived Anambra State Football League, and the All Stars Football competition. He emphasised his commitment to grassroots development and talent hunts. Dr. Ibezim praised the blueprint and affirmed the Soludo administration’s full support for sports excellence. He urged Ndi Anambra to embrace these initiatives and back the FA’s efforts. The meeting builds on recent steps such as local football council elections and new board appointments aimed at strengthening governance and sustainable football growth.
