Why Is My JAMB Advice Causing Her to Avoid Me?
I have a neighbor in her early 20s who just scored 173 in her JAMB exam. She came to me for advice on what to do next. I know she has no trade skills and her parents can’t afford university fees right now. I suggested she learn a skill this year and retake JAMB next year. She agreed at the time, but ever since she’s been distant and no longer responds to my jokes. I’m wondering if I was wrong to give that advice or if I should have kept my opinion to myself. Did I handle this badly?
