Biblical Polygamy: A Call to Compassion and Rescue Women
My sisters in Christ, grace and peace to you. I write as a fellow traveler in faith, longing to see compassion lived out in our marriages. The Bible shows leaders like Abraham, Jacob, David and Moses with multiple wives; Deuteronomy and Exodus even regulate these unions. Consider the many women forced into prostitution for lack of protection. Would it not be better to welcome a sister-wife under one roof, sharing love and provision, than to leave her destitute? This arrangement provided for the vulnerable, mirrored Christ’s love for His Church, and honored sisters who might otherwise be cast aside. If submitting to a shared marriage honors God and rescues a soul from shame, let us not harden our hearts. Wives can display sacrificial love, and the church can encourage men of integrity to extend their households. This model, though challenging, offers dignity and life to those in need. May we choose mercy over modern comfort, and let our homes reflect the generous love of our Father in heaven.
