US-Iran Talks in Islamabad Collapse; Iran Keeps Strait of Hormuz Closed

High-level negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad ended without agreement. According to an Iranian diplomatic statement, Tehran rejected all US demands after more than 20 hours of talks and reaffirmed that the Strait of Hormuz remains shut. On Sunday, Iran’s embassy described the US delegation’s visit—led by the Vice President—as fruitless and insisted that no concessions would be made.
