Work Resumes on Ibadan–Ife–Ilesa Road After Contractor Implements Umahi’s Quality Directives
CBC Global Civil and Building Construction Nigeria Limited has confirmed full compliance with Minister David Umahi’s orders on the Ibadan–Ife–Ilesa road project. The company’s Area Manager, Yuan Kaizhi, said engineers reviewed and adjusted the concrete mixture after the minister’s inspection on June 21. Palliative repairs were also carried out on the alternative lane to ease traffic. Project Manager Anjikwi Anjilibwala added that corrective measures are complete and 65% of the 108.4 km carriageway is now under construction. The road carries a 50-year durability guarantee and is due for completion within three years. Local residents praised the improvements and thanked the federal government for prioritising quality delivery on this key route.
