Mbappé Admits He’s Now Fourth-Choice Striker at Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappé says he has dropped to fourth-choice striker at Real Madrid after being left out of the starting line-up for the 2-0 win over Real Oviedo. The Frenchman missed the defeat by Barcelona and was booed by fans when he returned from a hamstring injury. He came on as a substitute in the 68th minute, behind Vinícius Júnior, Gonzalo García and Franco Mastantuono. Mbappé insists fitness is not an issue. He told reporters he’s 100% fit and has no problem with coach Álvaro Arbeloa. He added he will work harder to earn his place. He has also faced criticism for travelling to Sardinia during his recovery, though he said the club approved the trip.
