Real Madrid defender Raúl Asencio is due to stand trial in September over allegations that he shared a sexual video involving a minor without consent. Three former academy teammates—Ferran Ruiz, Juan Rodríguez and Andrés García—will also face trial. They are accused of recording and distributing sexual videos involving a minor and another woman. Asencio is not accused of taking part in the alleged recording. The case began after the mother of a 16-year-old girl filed a complaint in the Canary Islands in 2023. The complainant said the sexual activity was consensual but that the recording was not. Although the alleged victims have withdrawn their complaints against Asencio, they must confirm this before the court. Asencio has denied wrongdoing and says he will continue to defend his innocence through the legal process.
