Atiku’s Aide Demands Dismissal of Gbajabiamila over Alleged Cash-for-Appointment Scam

Atiku’s Aide Demands Dismissal of Gbajabiamila over Alleged Cash-for-Appointment Scam

Demola Olarenwaju, Senior Political Assistant to ADC’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has urged President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, to be sacked. He spoke out following Adeniyi Matthew’s allegation that an official inserted himself into the federal budget as part of an appointment-for-cash scheme. Olarenwaju argued that if the accused individual scammed his way into the budget, Gbajabiamila should be removed for negligence. He added that any proof of connivance would warrant prosecution for dereliction of duty.

It's interesting how this cash-for-appointment claim follows past budget insertion scandals—yet hard proof still seems missing from Olarenwaju's call.

Before jumping to sack him, shouldn't we demand more than a single aide's statement? Accountability needs solid evidence, not just political rhetoric.

A neutral audit of federal budget approvals might clear up cash-for-appointment claims before any sack request.
