Kemi Badenoch Slams Keir Starmer as ‘Terrible’ Following His Resignation

Kemi Badenoch, leader of the Conservative Party, described Keir Starmer as a “terrible prime minister” after his resignation. She blamed his tenure for weakening Britain’s economy, welfare system and energy security. She pointed to increased National Insurance contributions, the new Family Farm Tax, lack of welfare reform, underfunded defence and the decision to avoid domestic oil and gas drilling. Badenoch also criticised the appointment of Peter Mandelson, alleging the government lacked transparency about the circumstances. She argued that Labour’s focus on higher taxes and expanded benefits has held the country back and called for policies to get Britain working again.

Interesting how she singles out National Insurance hikes as a key flaw in his tenure, ignoring global energy price shifts.

Calling him a 'terrible prime minister' seems exaggerated when many of those challenges predated his leadership and affected multiple cabinets.

Opponents and supporters alike should demand clear data on welfare and energy budgets before accepting broad criticisms of any prime minister's record.
