Ogudu-Alapere Highway Crash: LASTMA Rescues Two Trapped Victims

Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) rescued two people from a multi-vehicle crash on the Motorway inward Toll Gate corridor at Ogudu-Alapere on Sunday. A 12-tyre DAF articulated truck collided with a Volkswagen T4 commercial bus. The bus overturned, trapping its driver and a passenger inside the wreckage. LASTMA teams arrived swiftly and extricated the victims. They were handed over to the Lagos State Ambulance Service for emergency treatment and transfer to a nearby hospital. Authorities worked to clear the damaged vehicles and ease congestion. LASTMA urged motorists to drive with caution on busy highways and to follow all traffic regulations. Investigations into the cause of the collision are ongoing.
