Customs Seize Stolen Luxury Cars Smuggled from Canada into Lagos
The Nigeria Customs Service intercepted several stolen luxury vehicles smuggled from Canada into Lagos through Tin Can Island Port. Models included Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover. The recovery followed months of intelligence sharing with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and was confirmed in a statement released on Sunday. Recovered cars range from a 2019 Lexus RX350 and Mercedes-Benz G550 to a 2023 Land Rover Range Rover, a 2019 Lamborghini Huracán, a 2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn Convertible, a 2018 Lamborghini Aventador and a 2026 Toyota Tundra. Customs say the cars were traced along international shipping routes used by organised theft syndicates.
