Oyo State Security Adviser Fatai Owoseni Resigns to Pursue 2027 Governorship Ambition
Fatai Owoseni, the Special Adviser on Security to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, has tendered his resignation effective immediately. The retired police commissioner submitted a letter dated May 7, in which he thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve and offered to assist with transferring his duties and bank account signatory roles. Owoseni also served as Executive Secretary of the Oyo State Security Trust Fund and represented the state at the Forum of National and Subnational Security Officials and on the Amotekun board. He is now focusing on his bid for the Peoples Democratic Party’s ticket ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
