DeeOne Says Tinubu’s Government Is Nigeria’s Path Forward Despite Challenges

DeeOne Says Tinubu’s Government Is Nigeria’s Path Forward Despite Challenges

Comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate DeeOne says President Tinubu’s regime is the right path for Nigeria, even if it is not easy. Speaking on The Nigerian Meter podcast, he urged opposition parties to present clear plans ahead of the 2027 elections. He questioned critics like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on their practical alternatives, asking whether they would restore subsidy or tackle other national issues. DeeOne highlighted improvements in federal allocations and noted that many challenges fall under state and local responsibilities rather than the presidency. He also praised Tinubu’s reception in the United Kingdom as a celebration of Nigeria on the global stage. He called for transparency among public figures on political sponsorship. “If I’m paid to campaign, I will admit it,” he said, urging others to follow suit rather than hide their financial backing.

It's interesting he calls for clear plans from opposition, yet doesn't outline any concrete achievements of the current administration.

I'm not convinced Tinubu's regime is the only option; we've seen similar promises before without real results.

Instead of just debates, opposition parties need to draft detailed economic proposals wey Nigerians fit evaluate before 2027.
