2026 Off-Grid Energy Challenge: $1 Million Funding for Nigerian Clean Energy Innovators
All On, Nigeria’s off-grid energy impact investor, has opened applications for its 2026 Off-Grid Energy Challenge. Clean energy companies can compete for $200,000 to $1 million in blended financing to scale mini-grids, solar home systems, productive-use technologies, cold chain systems and more. The competition runs from July 2 to July 31, 2026. Applicants must be majority Nigerian-owned, for-profit businesses with scalable, commercially viable solutions that can serve underserved communities within a 12–18 month investment period. Since its 2018 launch, the programme has committed $3.6 million to 36 Nigerian companies, extending clean energy access to over 150,000 people. Selected ventures will receive both funding and technical assistance, including investment-readiness support. This edition emphasizes projects that turn energy access into economic opportunity across agriculture, food processing, healthcare and small businesses, with special focus on women and youth innovators.
