From Poverty Stereotype to Passion Project: Our Yam-Sack Farming Story
I married an agriculturist who loves experimenting with everything he studied. In our community, people see farming as hardship, but my husband sees it as fun. He teases that daily farm work would tire me out. Yet he always laughs and says, “It’s always worth it.” Working together on yam-sack farming has become a creative and rewarding activity. What some call dirty work, we call food, business, peace, and investment. Farming feeds everyone, rich or poor. This year, our little one even joined in the fun of planting yams in sacks.
