Bandits Kidnap Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University Student, Demand ₦20M Ransom

A 300-level Pure and Industrial Chemistry student at Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University was abducted by suspected bandits while travelling between Charanchi and Dutsin-Ma. The incident occurred on Sunday, May 24, and was confirmed by a security expert on Monday, May 25. The kidnappers have contacted the student’s family, demanding a ransom of ₦20 million. Relatives say they cannot raise the full amount and are appealing for urgent intervention. Friends and classmates have called for prayers and swift action from security agencies to secure the student’s release.
