Chennai Murder-Suicide: Instagram Influencer Killed by Husband
A tragic incident in Nanganallur, Chennai left a 42-year-old Instagram influencer dead at the hands of her 52-year-old husband, who then took his own life. Police were alerted on April 27 when the couple’s younger son returned home to find his mother fatally hacked and his father hanging in separate rooms. Neighbours say the pair had been living apart for some time due to personal differences. After their separation, the wife launched Sree Sai Silks, a saree business boosted by her strong Instagram presence. She supported her two sons’ education: her elder son studies medicine abroad, while her younger son is in a dentistry programme in Chennai. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the fatal argument that reportedly triggered this devastating murder-suicide. The bodies were taken for autopsy at Chengalpattu Government Hospital.
