APM Faction Rejects Dantale’s Leadership, Denies Bala Mohammed and Seyi Makinde Membership
Founding leaders of the Allied People’s Movement are moving to reclaim control of the party. They argue that justice must uphold the Appellate Court’s decision recognizing Musa Bagana’s council and block Yusuf Mamman Dantale from acting as national chairman. The group says governors Bala Mohammed and Seyi Makinde cannot join APM under Dantale’s watch because his authority is legally unresolved. Meetings in Abuja aim to prevent what they call “illegal” entries and to protect the party’s integrity. A fresh lawsuit is expected once Bagana’s team hosts a press conference. The challenge could disrupt Mohammed’s Senate ambitions and reshape political alliances in Bauchi, Oyo and beyond.
