I’ve been holding onto perfectly good clothes I bought abroad during my student days and early work life. I decided to gift some items to my hairstylist. I called ahead and she agreed to take them. The next morning I dropped off the clothes on my way to work. She said “thank you,” but never followed up or showed any real appreciation, even for brand-new pieces with tags. Recently, I returned to collect a revamped wig and discovered she was using one of my treasured dresses as a shop rag. That dress was in perfect condition when I gave it to her. Now I’m torn. Should I call her out on disrespecting my gift or let it go and move on? I’d appreciate your advice.
