Confronting Nigeria’s Crisis: From Kidnappings to Revolutionary Change
I never planned to write today, but recent kidnappings in Kwara and Ogbomosho make Nigeria feel like an open-air concentration camp. Everyone struggles to survive while those in power turn a blind eye. We resent orders from above, yet we become oppressors when we give careless directives. Influence is abused to settle disputes and hide failures. When does our conscience matter if we inflict pain for personal gain? Capitalism empowers the elite to dictate terms and deepen inequality. We only speak up when injustice affects us directly, letting bias, religion, culture, and ethnicity divide us. Real change won’t come from prayers alone. We must back positive ideas, demand accountability, and build momentum for social justice. Other nations began similarly, and so can we.
