Primate Ayodele Warns Bandits May Block Lagos–Ibadan Expressway This July or August

Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has warned that bandits could block the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in July or August. He urged security agencies to heighten vigilance after sharing the prediction during a Sunday service and on his official TikTok channel. The Lagos–Ibadan route links Nigeria’s biggest city with several South-West states and beyond. So far, neither the Nigeria Police Force nor the Federal Government has issued an alert to corroborate this claim. The warning follows recent abductions of pupils and teachers in Oyo State, highlighting growing concerns about banditry spreading into the South-West.

Primate Ayodele has made similar forecasts before without follow-through, so it's hard to know whether this warning will materialize.

We shouldn't panic just because a prophecy mentions bandits. Vigilance matters, but let's judge by unfolding developments, not fear alone.

Local drivers and commuters should plan alternative routes and share real-time updates with each other in case of disruptions this summer.
