Still Feeling Staph Symptoms Despite Negative Tests—Please Help

In 2018, I had an MCS test in Nigeria that showed a staph infection and experienced related symptoms. After I travelled abroad, doctors ran the same tests and found no infection. Despite negative results, I kept feeling unwell. Two years later, I did another round of tests—11 in total, including HIV screening—and all came back clear. Yet I still experience heat in my scrotum and persistent brain fog. My work performance has suffered. I’m financially drained from repeat consultations and self-medication. I’m at a loss and urgently need advice or suggestions on what to try next.

What else were your doctors exploring when tests kept coming back negative, yet symptoms persisted over those years?

I agree—they should have examined other possible causes, perhaps autoimmune conditions or imaging studies.

Right? I also pressed for more detailed imaging once lab results stayed clear, but the discomfort never eased.

It sounds like lab results and physical symptoms aren't aligning, which could indicate testing limitations or overlooked factors.

I no dey convinced these tests capture every strain of staph; perhaps symptoms mirror something else entirely?

You might track specific symptom patterns alongside daily activities, diet changes, or stress levels to spot possible triggers.
