CBN Affirms ₦100 Banknotes Are Still Legal Tender

The Central Bank of Nigeria has clarified that both the standard and commemorative ₦100 notes remain valid for all transactions nationwide. The commemorative note issued for Nigeria’s centenary did not replace the existing bill. Rejecting the standard note breaches the CBN Act and undermines confidence in the naira.
