Delta Governor Awards World Spelling Bee Champion Great Okediachi ₦20 Million
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has rewarded Great Chinedu Okediachi with ₦20 million after the student won the World Spelling Bee Championship in China. The governor received Okediachi and officials of the Ministry of Secondary Education at Government House, Asaba, where the champion presented his trophy. Oborevwori also pledged support for Madonna International School, where Okediachi is a student. He said the achievement reflects Delta State's continued investment in education. The governor added that the victory follows the success of Delta students who represented Nigeria at the World Schools Debate Championship in Doha last year.
