ANA to Empower Authors with Copyright and Royalties Workshop in Ibadan
The Association of Nigerian Authors will host a two-day capacity building workshop on copyright, reproduction rights and royalties management in Ibadan. It aims to strengthen authors’ knowledge of intellectual property protection within Nigeria’s literary and creative industries. The event will hold on Thursday, 18 June and Friday, 19 June 2026 at Elders Place in Basorun, Ibadan. Sessions begin at 12:00 noon each day. On the first day, experts from the Nigerian Copyright Commission will cover copyright law, reproduction rights and practical strategies for safeguarding literary works. Participants will also complete a hands-on registration session for their creative works. Day two will feature the Reproduction Rights Society of Nigeria, which will guide licensing and royalty collection processes and explain the benefits of collective rights management. Attendees will leave ready to serve as copyright ambassadors for their state chapters.
