Ogun Completes 108 Homes at Buhari Estate After Resolving Stalled Project

The Ogun State Government says it has completed 108 housing units at the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate in Abeokuta after resolving a legal dispute that had stalled the project and raised the risk of forfeiture. The estate, located on the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway, consists of four-bedroom detached and semi-detached duplexes. It includes internal roads, streetlights, water supply, waste-management facilities, security infrastructure, a playground, sporting centre, clubhouse, parking and round-the-clock power. Governor Dapo Abiodun said the state settled the contractor dispute and adopted a public-private partnership model. The government provided land and infrastructure, while private developers built and marketed the homes. The estate is expected to be commissioned on Tuesday. The government says the project will help protect public assets and expand access to housing in Abeokuta.
