Confluence University Expels Eight Students for Exam Malpractice
Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, has expelled eight students following proven cases of examination malpractice. A letter from the Deputy Registrar (Academics) confirmed that the Senate ratified the expulsions at its 30th regular meeting on April 29, 2026. Investigations by the Examination Misconduct Committee uncovered violations during the 2025/2026 first semester exams, in line with the Student Handbook (Page 33, Item 19). The affected students span various departments: Ogedemgbe A. Nelson (100L Economics), Yakubu Abdulrazak Adavize (300L Library and Information Science), Olowu Samuel Ayomide (200L Mining Engineering), Usman Bilal (400L Information Technology), Adams Michael (200L Information Technology), Ale David (200L Mechanical Engineering), Habiba Muhammed (100L Business Administration) and Mustapha Faith Adetutu (200L Agricultural Science). The university reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on academic dishonesty and urged students to adhere strictly to institutional rules to protect the integrity and value of its degrees.
